NIO leads slide in Chinese EV makers after EU hikes tariffs
** Hong Kong-listed shares of NIO Inc 9866.HK fall 4.6% to HK$43.50, leading a slide in Chinese electric-vehicle (EV) makers
** The European Union (EU) has decided to increase tariffs on Chinese-built EVs to as much as 45.3%, tariffs take effect on Wednesday
** Shares of Geely Auto 0175.HK fall 2.2%, Great Wall Motor's Hong Kong stock 2333.HK eases 1.1%, Xpeng 9868.HK slips 0.3%, Xiaomi 1810.HK down 0.2%
** Leapmotor 9863.HK slips 0.5%, Li Auto 2015.HK eases 0.2%, SAIC 600104.SS down 0.2%, while BYD 1211.HK climbs 0.2%
** In China, the blue-chip CSI 300 Index .CSI300 eases 0.2% and the Shanghai Composite Index .SSEC slips 0.01%
** In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Tech Index .HSTECH falls 0.9% and the Hang Seng Index .HSI declines 0.5%
