July 26 (Reuters) -Italian power grid operator Terna TRN.MI reported on Friday a 23% annual rise in its core earnings for the first half of the year, mainly thanks to an increase in revenues from regulated activities.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) came in at 1.26 billion euros ($1.37 billion) between January and June, while capital expenditures were up 25.5% to 1.04 billion euros.

The state-controlled group confirmed the guidance expressed in the 2024-2028 business plan presented in March, in which it forecast full-year EBITDA to come in at 2.42 billion euros and its capital expenditures to amount to 2.6 billion euros.
