ECONOMY
The Italian government's 1% economic growth target for this year will be more difficult to reach after downward revisions made last week by national statistics bureau ISTAT, the country's central bank said on Monday.
DEBT
The Treasury said on Monday it would sell 7.5 billion euros of BOT bills at auction on Oct. 10.
The Treasury on Tuesday announces sale of BTP bonds, with relative amounts to be auctioned on Oct. 11.
COMPANIES
UNICREDIT CRDI.MI
Goldman Sachs GS.N has derivative positions in the Italian bank equivalent to a 6.7% stake as of Sept. 30, mostly swap and future contracts as well as call options, a regulatory filing showed on Monday.

S&P Global said on Monday that it had revised its outlook on the Franco-Italian carmaker to 'negative' due to a slump in the company's profitability.
Chrysler parent said on Monday it has filed eight additional lawsuits against the United Auto Workers and 23 local units, saying the union has violated its contract by threatening to strike over the company's delays in planned investments.
MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA BMPS.MI
Barclays BARC.L owns 5.312% of voting shares in the state-controlled Tuscan lender as of Sept. 30, including 4.218% through derivatives, a regulatory filing showed on Monday.
ITALGAS IG.MI
Italy's biggest gas distributor is considering some disposals after an agreement to acquire its smaller rival 2i Rete Gas, the company's chief executive said on Monday.
UNIEURO UNIR.MI
French retailer Fnac Darty FNAC.PA and an affiliate of its top shareholder Vesa Equity Investment controlled by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky said on Monday they had reduced the minimum threshold for their takeover bid for the Italian consumer electronics distributor from 90% to 66.67%.

Cometa said on Monday that it would launch a voluntary bid for 29.14% of the Italian company's share capital with the aim of delisting it. It offered 2.37 euros per share, a premium of 14.7% on Friday's official closing price.
