POLITICS
The Italian government vowed on Friday to push ahead with its contested plan to divert asylum-seekers abroad, saying it would appeal against a court's ruling that a group of migrants in reception centres in Albania should be taken to Italy.
Meloni called a cabinet meeting for Monday to decide on the government's response to the legal ruling.
ECONOMY
Global credit ratings agency Fitch on Friday revised its outlook on Italy to 'positive' from 'stable', citing recent improvements in the fiscal performance of the euro zone's third largest economy and its commitment to EU budget regulations.
DEBT
Treasury sells up to 3.0 billion euros of two BTP bonds: 5.00% due Aug. 1, 2034 and 4.00% due Feb. 1, 2037 in exchange for five BTP bonds: 0.35% due Feb. 1, 2025; 5.00% due March 1, 2025; 1.40% 'BTP Italia' due May 26, 2025; 1.50% due June 1, 2025; 0.55% 'BTP Italia' due May 21, 2026.

The Italian oil major has hired French bank Natixis to seek investors interested in taking a stake in Enilive's biomethane subsidiary Enibioch4in, Corriere della Sera reported on Sunday.
The paper said that a potential minority stake of up to 49% is on the table and that German fund DWS and France's Meridiam and Vaubam could be interested.

The Italian defence group is working with France's Thales to study how to modify the space alliance to increase efficiency and competitiveness, CEO Roberto Cingolani was quoted as saying by Corriere della Sera weekly L'Economia. As a result, the companies' stakes in two joint ventures could change, he added.
Leonardo will unveil an update of its strategic plan between February and March, focusing on space strategy and cybersecurity, Cingolani said.

Germany's finance ministry on Sunday denied that the country was considering introducing a law to protect domestic banks from cross-border takeovers as the Italian bank seeks a merger with Germany's Commerzbank CBKG.DE.
MONTE DEI PASCHI BMPS.MI
LMDV Capital, the investment company owned by Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, the son of Luxottica's late founder Leonardo Del Vecchio, denied on Friday that it was interested in buying a stake in the Tuscan bank.
Italian daily MF had reported earlier that investment bank Finint had contacted potential investors, including Del Vecchio, to explore the possibility of setting up a consortium to buy part of the government's stake in the bailed-out lender.

Lazio defender Mario Gila scored a late own goal to give Juventus a 1-0 home win in Serie A on Saturday after visiting Lazio side were reduced to 10 men midway through the first half.

Ferrari last won a Formula One title in 2008 but Sunday's one-two win in the U.S. Grand Prixput the constructors' championship firmly in their sights.
Race winner Charles Leclerc said as much, even if he described it as still an 'optimistic' target with five rounds remaining.
