POLITICS

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni addresses the Chamber of Deputies (0700 GMT) and the Senate (1300 GMT) ahead of European Council meeting to be held on June 27-28.

Russia on Tuesday banned access inside Russia to 81 different media outlets from the European Union including Italian broadcasters Rai and La7 and newspapers la Repubblica and La Stampa in retaliation for a similar EU ban on several Russian media outlets. Italy's foreign ministry condemned the decision.

Treasury sells 2.5 billion euros 6-month BOT bills due Nov. 29, 2024 and 2.0 billion euros 12-month BOT bills due Dec. 13, 2024. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.

The Italian energy, gas and water utility dismissed its chief executive Paolo Signorini on Tuesday, citing just objective cause, following his arrest last month as part of a corruption investigation related to his previous job.


PIRELLI PIRC.MI

The tyre maker said on Friday it had issued a 600-million-euro sustainability linked bond with a 3.875% coupon. The issuance reached a demand of around 2.8 billion euros, over 4.6 times the offering, the statement added.

The holding company of the De Benedetti family is planning to take full control of elderly care company Kos, acquiring the 40% stake currently held by Italian infrastructure fund F2i, daily MF reported on Wednesday.

The asset manager raised 755 million euros with its first Infrastructures for Growth-ESG Fund (IPC) thanks to the participation of 26 insurance companies, pension funds and social security funds, MF reported on Wednesday, adding that Azimut is planning to launch another private equity fund in the second half of 2024, with the aim of raising a further 500 million euros.
