Treasury buys back up to 4.0 billion euros of the following five bonds: 2.50% BTP due Dec. 1, 2024; 1.40% BTP Italia due May 26, 2025; 1.50% BTP due June 1, 2025; 1.20% BTP due Aug. 15, 2025; 0.50% BTP due Feb. 1, 2026. Subscriptions close at 0900 GMT.


COMPANIES

UNIEURO UNIR.MI

French retailer Fnac Darty offered on Tuesday to buy Italy's Unieuro for around 249 million euros ($271 million) to create a market leader in consumer electronics and domestic appliances in southern and western Europe.

(*) Unieuro said it took note of the offer and added it will undertake the relevant resolutions within the timeframe provided by the applicable regulations.


ENI ENI.MI

The Italian energy company said on Tuesday it had begun construction of a 250 mw hybrid renewables-gas power plant in Kazakhstan.

(*) Eni is in talks with U.S. funds Blackstone BX.N and KKR KKR.N to sell a minority stake in Enilive, Corriere della Sera said on Wednesday, citing sources. Eni declined to comment, it added.


DOVALUE DOVA.MI

The Italian bad loan manager said on Tuesday it had increased its assets under management thanks to a new contract with a gross book value of 300 million euros.

(*) AZIMUT AZMT.MI

The asset manager has shortlisted some platforms and small banks from which to acquire a banking licence for its new fintech bank and will take a decision by September, Chairman Pietro Giuliani told Il Sole 24 Ore on Wednesday.

Giuliani said Azimut's board would firmly resist any takeover bids based on the group's actual value, adding that the group has put in place some "poison pills" both on its equity financial instruments and in case of a change of control.


FINCANTIERI FCT.MI

The Italian shipbuilder said on Tuesday it had completed its capital hike for a total value of 399 million euros.
