The European Central Bank has overreached in pushing Italian bank UniCredit to get out of Russia, Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said on Friday.


INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI

Italian pension funds for doctors, lawyers, engineers and architects have increased their collective stake in Italy's biggest bank to around 2.2% and want to increase it further to at least 3.5%, Il Messaggero reported on Sunday, adding that the funds want to play a more active role in support of the current management and may seek to nominate a member of the board when it is renewed next year.


ENEL ENEI.MI

The Italian utility's Australian unit Enel Green Power Australia will build up capacity in renewable energy from more than 300 megawatts currently to between 2,000 Mw and 4,000 Mw by 2030, Japanese newspaper Nikkei reported on Friday.

The energy contractor said on Monday it won two offshore projects in Saudi Arabia for a total value of about $500 million as part of a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with Saudi Aramco 2223.SE.

The projects include the engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) of a crude oil trunkline in Abu Safa and maintenance works in the Berri and Manifa oil fields, Saipem said.

The bank has signed two agreements with unions for 615 voluntary staff exits, 460 new full-time hirings and a 2024 employee bonus worth 1,850 euro, the FABI banking union said on Saturday.
