Italy's second largest bank said on Wednesday the European Central Bank had set a bank-specific core capital requirement of 10.27% for 2025, up from the 10.03% minimum level set for 2024.
INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI
Italy's largest said on Wednesday its core capital requirement for 2025 had been set at 9.89%, up from the previous 9.32%.
BANCO BPM BAMI.MI
The European Central Bank set a bank-specific core capital requirement of 9.18%, the lender said on Wednesday.
MONTE DEI PASCHI DI SIENA (MPS) BMPS.MI
The Tuscan lender said on Wednesday the European Central Bank had set its core capital requirement for 2025 at 8.78%.
The ECB also removed the obligation of prior authorization for the distribution of dividends.

Italian prosecutors on Wednesday opened a probe into possible manslaughter following an explosion at a fuel depot facility near Florence, owned by the energy firm, that killed five people, two judicial sources said.
(*) Norway's Vaar Energi VAR.OL, majority-owned by Eni, has discovered additional oil reserves in its Countach appraisal well near the Goliat field in the Arctic Barents Sea, the company said on Thursday.

The energy contractor said on Thursday it was awarded two projects for the development of offshore facilities for the transportation and storage of CO2 of the East Coast Cluster in Britain for a total of 650 million euros.

The automaker will extend the stoppage of car production at its Italian Mirafiori plant by another two weeks until Jan. 20, the head of the FIOM Cgil trade union at the site, Gianni Mannori, said on Thursday.

The world's largest cable maker said on Wednesday that Italy's competition authority (AGCM) had conducted an inspection at the offices of its Italian subsidiary regarding a possible anti-competitive arrangement aimed at coordinating prices and commercial sales conditions in the Italian low-voltage copper cable market.

(*) Camfin, the family vehicle of Marco Tronchetti Provera, is planning to increase its stake in Pirelli to 29.9% from 26.1%, Italian daily Il Messaggero reported on Thursday. To fund the operation and to cut the cost of its debt, Camfin is working to obtain 650 million euros ($682.96 million) in financing from a pool of banks led by UniCredit and Intesa Sanpaolo and including Banco BPM, the newspaper said.
