TELECOM ITALIA (TIM) TLIT.MI

Italian banker Claudio Costamagna, a former chairman of state lender CDP, is working on a plan to gather a group of investors potentially interested in buying France's Vivendi shares in the telecoms group, Corriere della Sera daily said on Saturday, citing unidentified sources. The deal would be based on a vehicle company purchasing Vivendi shares in multiple stages, starting from a 6-7% stake for around 500 million euros, the report added.

The potential sale by Axa AXAF.PA of its management arm to France's BNP Paribas BNPP.PA might again prompt consolidation in the Italian sector, Corriere della Sera's L'Economia weekly supplement reported on Monday.

The move could lead to new deals happening, the paper reported, citing potential acquisitions such as Mediobanca MDBI.MI buying either Banca Generali BGN.MI or FinecoBank FBK.MI, while also selling its stake in insurer Assicurazioni Generali GASI.MI. The report also referred to Intesa Sanpaolo's interest for lender Banca Mediolanum BMED.MI and Swiss private bank Julius Baer BAER.S. It added Banco BPM BAMI.MI might buy an additional stake in asset manager Anima Holding ANIM.MI.


SARAS SRS.MI

Varas reopens mandatory takeover offer on Saras shares (to Aug. 30).


CIVITANAVI SYSTEMS CNS.MI

The company is de-listed from the Euronext Milan as of Monday after 99.22% of the group's shares were sold in the takeover by Honeywell.


UNIEURO UNIR.MI

Italy's market watchdog Consob approved on Friday the offer document presented by French retailer Fnac Darty FNAC.PA for the acquisition of the Italian consumer electronics group, with the tender offer period set from Sept. 2 to Oct. 25.

Fnac Darty offered in July to buy Unieuro for around 249 million euros ($278.23 million) to create a market leader in consumer electronics and domestic appliances in southern and western Europe.

The team lost 2-1 to Udinese on Saturday at the season's second match-day.

The Turin soccer club bought player Nicolas Ivan Gonzalez from Fiorentina for about 8 million euros for the current season. It has an option to acquire the player for around 25 million euros.
