Insurer Suncorp slips as Macquarie downgrades to 'neutral' on La Niña fears
** Shares of Australian insurer Suncorp SUN.AX fall as much as 2.2% to A$16.43, hitting their lowest since June 18
** Analysts at Macquarie downgrade stock rating to "neutral" from "underperform"
** Downgrades stock rating while heading into the La Niña season
** During a La Niña year, winter temperatures are warmer than normal in the south and cooler than normal in the north which can also lead to a more severe hurricane season
** Brokerage believes investors will need to wait until February 2025 to receive proceeds from co's bank sale to financial firm ANZ Group ANZ.AX
** Stock has risen 21.3% this year, as of last close
