STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was up nearly 1% at 79,889, while the broader NSE index .NSEI advanced 1.2% to 24,181 as the ruling alliance's victory in the Maharashtra state election over the weekend boosted investor sentiment. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN rose 0.2% versus the dollar to 84.30, boosted by gains in regional peers and likely dollar inflows on account of the rebalancing of MSCI's equity indexes. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN067934G=CC was quoted at 99.76 rupees, with the yield down two bps at 6.82%, as U.S. yields fell following President-elect Donald Trump's pick for Treasury secretary. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was down two basis points at 6.54%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC declined four bps to 6.22%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money INROND= rate was at 6.35% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 6.75%.
