Export Summary-Jordan seeks milling wheat, China buys US soybeans
Nov 27 (Reuters) -Snapshot of the global export markets for grains, oilseeds and edible oils as reported by government and private sources as of the end of business on Wednesday:
WHEAT TENDER: Jordan's state grain buyer issued an international tender to buy up to 120,000 metric tons of milling wheat that can be sourced from optional origins, European traders said. The deadline for submission of price offers is Dec. 3.
SOYBEAN SALE: Exporters sold 132,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to China for 2024/25 delivery, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said.
WHEAT PURCHASE: Algeria's state grains agency OAIC is believed to have bought about 140,000 to 150,000 metric tons of milling wheat in an international tender that sought limited shipment to two ports only, European traders said.
WHEAT, DURUM PURCHASE: Tunisia's state grains agency is believed to have purchased about 100,000 metric tons of soft wheat and about 100,000 tons of durum in an international tender for the same volume, European traders said.
CORN, SOYMEAL PURCHASE: Algerian state agency ONAB is believed to have bought an unknown volume of animal feed corn to be sourced from Argentina or Brazil in an international tender for up to 240,000 metric tons, European traders said. It is also believed one consignment of at least 30,000 tons of soymeal was bought in the tender, which sought up to 70,000 tons from optional origins.
CORN PURCHASE: Taiwan's MFIG purchasing group bought about 65,000 metric tons of animal feed corn expected to be sourced from the United States in an international tender, European traders said.
NO PURCHASE IN BARLEY TENDER: Jordan's state grain buyer is believed to have made no purchase in an international tender for 120,000 metric tons of animal feed barley, European traders said. Jordan in the coming days is expected to issue a new tender for 120,000 tons of feed barley that will close on Dec. 4,they said.
PENDING TENDERS:
RICE TENDER: South Korea's state-backed Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp issued an international tender to purchase an estimated 40,000 metric tons of rice to be sourced from the United States, European traders said. The deadline for submissions of price offers was Nov. 22.
BARLEY EXPORT TENDER: Turkey's state grain board TMO issued an international tender to sell and export about 150,000 metric tons of animal feed barley, European traders said. The deadline for submission of price offers is Nov. 28.
RICE TENDER: Bangladesh's state grains buyer issued another international tender to purchase 50,000 metric tons of rice, traders said. The deadline for submission of price offers is Dec. 10.A previously issued tender from Bangladesh also seeking 50,000 tons of rice closes on Dec. 2.
