European booze stocks fall as Trump vows tariffs on Mexico, Canada
** Shares in European brewers and distillers fall after U.S. president-elect Donald Trump said he would impose a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada on his first day in office
** Brewers AB Inbev ABI.BR and Heineken HEIN.AS, which both have operations in Mexico, fall 2.3% and 2.2% respectively
** From spirits makers, Diageo DGE.L falls 3%, Campari CPRI.MI 2.7%, Pernod Ricard PERP.PA 1.9% and Remy Cointreau RCOP.PA 1.8%
** "Tariff headline risk will remain a key area of focus, which adds to near-term volatility, with imports from Mexico and Canada potentially on the agenda," Jefferies writes in a note
** The U.S. accounts for 40% and 20% of Remy's and Pernod's respective sales, and 32% for Campari, Jefferies says, adding the impact should remain limited on European brewers
** The pan-European STOXX Food & Beverage index .SX3P is down 1.3%, with alcohol stocks among the biggest fallers
