** Taiwan's financial regulator rejected a takeover attempt by financial conglomerate CTBC 2891.TW of rival Shin Kong 2888.TW saying its plans were incomplete. nL4N3KY0O2
** Technology firm CACI International CACI.N said it would buy privately held radar and communications equipment maker Azure Summit Technology for $1.28 billion in cash to bulk up its business catering to the defense industry. nL4N3KY0MW
** Professional services provider JTC JTC.L said it has agreed to buy Citigroup's C.N global fiduciary and trust administration services business for $80 million. nL4N3KY0JY
** Italian broker Intermonte INTM.MI said it had received a takeover bid from Banca Generali BGN.MI for all of its shares. nL8N3KY04N
** QXO QXO.O, the company billionaire Brad Jacobs is seeking to launch into building services, recently made an offer of around $9.4 billion to acquire Rexel RXL.PA that the French company on Sunday said it had rebuffed.

** U.S. aluminium maker Alcoa AA.N said on Sunday that it would sell a 25.1% stake in its Ma'aden joint venture to Saudi Arabian mining company Ma'aden for $1.1 billion.

** Temasek is nearing a deal to acquire a 20% stake in Blackstone-owned BX.N visa application outsourcing and technology services firm VFS Global, Bloomberg News reported on Saturday, citing people familiar with the matter. nL1N3KX00Q
** Canada's ABC Technologies Holdings proposed a revised buyout of London-listed automotive components supplier TI Fluid Systems TIFS.L at 176 pence ($2.31) per share on Sept. 4, the companies said on Saturday. nL1N3KW08D
