** BHP Group BHP.AX bid $38.8 billion for Anglo American AAL.L, offering a deal to forge the world's biggest copper miner and driving its smaller rival's shares 13% higher. nL3N3GX5C9


** Czech energy group EPH, controlled by billionaire Daniel Kretinsky, is evaluating the possibility to exercise an option to take over Italian group Enel's stake in main Slovak electricity producer Slovenske Elektrarne, EPH's Chief Financial Officer Pavel Horsky said. nL5N3GY6LO
