CHICAGO, Oct 18 (Reuters) -Following are U.S. expectations for the resumption of grain and soy complex trading at the Chicago Board of Trade at 8:30 a.m. CDT (1330 GMT) on Friday:

WHEAT - Down 3 to 5 cents per bushel

* Wheat down on Friday after rebounding from a three-week low earlier this week as traders sought clarity on Russian export policy and assessed the impact of rain in dry Russian and U.S. wheat belts.

* The U.S. Department of Agriculture reported a net 504,100 metric tons of U.S. wheat were sold for 2024-25 export in the week ending Oct. 10, landing on the higher end of analyst expectations.

* CBOT December soft red winter wheat WZ24 was last down 5-1/4 cents at $5.84-1/4 a bushel. K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ24 was last down 3 cents at $5.93 a bushel, and Minneapolis December spring wheat MWEZ24 was last down 2-3/4 cents at $6.26 a bushel.

CORN - Up 1 to 2 cents per bushel

* Corn futures gain on signs of renewed export demand helping counter pressure from a brisk U.S. harvest and improving planting weather in South America.

* A run of demand from Mexico, including the biggest daily U.S. export sale in a year, as announced on Wednesday, shifted attention away from the U.S. harvest.

* The USDA reported a net 2,225,700 metric tons of U.S. corn were sold for 2024-25 export in the week ending Oct. 10, surpassing analyst expectations.

* Exporters sold 125,000 tons of corn to unknown destinations for 2024/2025 delivery, the USDA said in a daily reporting system.

* CBOT December corn CZ24 was last up 2 cents at $4.08-3/4 per bushel.

SOYBEANS - Up 2 to 3 cents per bushel

* Soybean futures rise on an uptick of demand, despite a record soy crop looming in the U.S.

* The USDA reported a net 1,702,700 metric tons of U.S. soybeans were sold for 2024-25 export in the week ending Oct. 10, on the high end of analyst expectations.

* Exporters sold 21,000 tons of soybean oil to Mexico and 292,800 tonnes of soybeans to unknown destinations for 2024/2025 delivery.
