**Canada's largest equity purchase by an Indigenous partnership may not be completed as planned because of an undisclosed snag at TC Energy TRP.TO, which had previously agreed to sell the minority stake in its Alberta gas pipeline network to a consortium of dozens of indigenous communities for $1 billion.
**Canada is not ruling out sidelining Mexico in future trade talks with the United States, with Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland saying the federal government shares Donald Trump's "grave concerns" that China is using the southernmost North American country as a back door for trade access.
