- Family-owned candy giant Mars is buying Cheez-It maker Kellanova K.N in a nearly $36 billion deal, bringing together brands from M&M's and Snickers to Pringles and Pop-Tarts in the year's biggest deal to date.


- Train drivers and the UK government have reached a deal that could end more than two years of conflict between rail operators and unions during which wide-ranging strikes have led to weeks of misery for passengers.
