MILAN, May 13 (Reuters) -British bank Barclays BARC.L on Monday said it had appointed Enrico Chiapparoli as co-head of industrials for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), leaving his post as Italy chief executive to Paolo De Luca.

The appointment of De Luca, currently head of investment banking in Italy, is subject to board and regulatory approval, Barclays said.

Chiapparoli will work alongside Richard Probert, who has held the EMEA co-head role for the last five years.

Both bankers have more than 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, financing and equity. They have advised some top Barclays clients in the services and industrials sector, including Stellantis, Aston Martin, CNHI, Ashtead, Aggreko and Compass.

"Enrico and Richard's combined depth of experience and client connectivity will be pivotal in accelerating momentum," said Tim Main, head of investment banking EMEA.

Barclays said Dealogic data showed it held top three positions in services, packaging and transport and logistics.
