Ahold Delhaize beats revenue expectations in Q3
Corrects typographical error in company name in headline with no changes to text
Nov 6 (Reuters) -Supermarket group Ahold Delhaize AD.AS reported higher than expected sales for the third quarter on Wednesday, driven by growth in comparable sales and net store openings.
The Dutch group's revenue for the three months through Sept. 30 was 22 billion euros ($23.6 billion), while analysts were expecting 21.9 billion euros on average, a company-compiled consensus showed.
The company, which operates the Stop & Shop, Giant, Food Lion and Hannaford chains in the U.S. and the Albert Heijn and Delhaize chains in the Netherlands and Belgium, also announced a 1 billion euro share buyback programme for 2025.
