How do I calculate pip value?
When trading forex, you can calculate pip value automatically using our calculator.
To manually calculate pip value in quote currency for any of your trades, you can use the formula Amount of Base Currency x Pips.
Let’s look at some examples to help explain this better:
- When trading EURUSD: 1 Lot (100,000 EUR) x 0.0001 = 10 USD
- When trading USDCHF: 1 Lot (100,000 USD) x 0.0001 = 10 CHF
- When trading EURJPY: 1 Lot (100,000 EUR) x 0.01 = 1,000 JPY
