Charity knows no boundaries, nor does raising awareness of people suffering from serious disabilities. On 21st November, our dedicated staff members organized a charity event in collaboration with NASOM (The National Autism Society of Malaysia) with the aim to improve the life quality of autistic children.

According to estimates, in today’s world one in 160 children suffers from autism spectrum disorder, a developmental disability that may set significant boundaries to living a fulfilled live independently. In an attempt to contribute to the noble mission of the Kuala Lumpur-based non-profit welfare organisation, who stalwartly represent the well-being of autistic children, XM visited the charity organization to make a donation.

During the charity event, XM donated various supplies to NASOM to contribute to the organisation’s residential, individualized educational and vocational training programs, established to help autistic children aged 13 and above develop their communication and learning skills. From kitchen appliances to learning supplies, the XM donation included many different items meant to serve a good purpose and fulfil the basic needs of the local children and their caregivers.

Spending the day side by side with some of the children supported by NASOM and their family members was a touching experience, and at the same time it was reassuring to know that every attempt to help opens up new opportunities for those in need.
