Between 15 January and 21 February 2013, XM will be running a Forex Demo Contest within the framework of a joint project with the London School of Economics and Political Science.

The £8500 Forex Demo Contest for LSE Students is coordinated by the Office of Development and Alumni Relations of the London School of Economics, is a project designed to initiate LSE students into the vibrant world of the forex market.

“Similar to any other sphere of life, success in forex trading is also predetermined by a certain mindset”, says former LSE alumnus and XM CEO Costas Cleanthous.

LSE students who go in for the competition will have the opportunity to put their trading skills to the test by opening XM demo accounts funded with $100,000 virtual currency and with full access to an advanced trading environment that allows them to experience real-time market conditions. Contestants will be able to tap into the forex market risk-free and acquire first-hand experience in online trading.

The three winners, who finish the demo competition with the highest trading balance, will be awarded their prizes by XM CEO Costas Cleanthous on the LSE premises. The first ranking student at the end of the competition will be awarded £7000, the second ranking student will be awarded with a £1000 prize and third runner up will be receiving £500.
